The airline industry is a perfect place for loyalty programmes. Together with a UK based company Loyalty Consulting we have developed an app for loyalty point redemption. The app was launched during a major sports event in Azerbaijan - first European games, held in June 2015.
SOLUTION OVERVIEW
The mobile application was developed for both iOS and Android phones and tablets. The main challenge was the connection to 2 other airline interfaces - loyalty programme provider Loyalty Plus, and SITA airline information system. This architecture required good understanding of associated web services and a very frequent communication with partners in the UK, South Africa and Azerbaijan.

TEAM AND TIME
Development lasted from January to May 2015 with one developer assigned for each platform. Backend and webservices were taken care of by another developer. The team was lead by a project manager, who was in charge of meetings, deadlines etc.
