CFWI
Centre for Workforce Intelligence - CFWI, was in charge of so called "horizon scanning activities". They were aimed to help the UK Department of Health to determine how much, and what kind of healthcare workforce it would need in the long term. The app that we developed together with Futures Diamond was designed to assist the healthcare community to submit their ideas on workforce planning. As of 2016, CFWI responsibilities have been taken over directly by the UK Department of Health.
SOLUTION OVERVIEW
The iPad application relied on the Horizon Scanning HUB developed by Futures Diamond, who have provided their scientific expertise as well. Ideas bank and Project list were a good source of information for healthcare professionals and researchers. Specified parts of the provided data was also synced with various online CFWI sources.

TEAM AND TIME
Production started early in 2013 and was finished the same year in October. The project required a designer, UX specialist, iOS developer, tester and a project manager. Further development was planned, but halted after the acquisition of "horizon scanning" activities by the UK Department of Health.
